Inedible

Strong rancid smell already upon opening the envelope. The taste is no less. They will expire in 5 months. Contacted customer service who politely replied that the chickpeas naturally have an aftertaste that may seem rancid to some. Purchased salt and pepper chickpeas months ago and found them to be excellent, with no rancid regrogusti. We will avoid buying back the roasted and salted ones, which will now go in the compost.

Title is misleading - "roasted with sunflower oil" is missing

I was really looking forward to these chickpeas because I love them roasted and salted. However, I was disillusioned when I tried them. The taste seemed flat and a little heavy. Then I saw why: they are made with sunflower oil, which is high in omega 6 and turns what should be a nutrient-rich snack into a rather unhealthy option. This is a shame, because chickpeas could be a valuable, light and easily digestible food without this oil. For me, the health aspect is not right and the palate doesn't win here either. I would like to see a variant without sunflower oil so that the snack lives up to its potential.

You have to like them, but then they end up everywhere...

They’re nice and uniform, and taste good, even if chickpeas are a bit bland. I’ve used them in wraps or on salads, where they add an interesting, crunchy twist.
They also add a tasty twist to some nut mixes.
However, there are always a few skins left over when they’re mixed with nuts, for example.
Since not many people are familiar with chickpeas, it still creates a “wow” effect, and people really enjoy the mixes.
