We use only organic quality fruit for the production of the puffed dried fruit. The physalis come from controlled organic cultivation.
To enjoy the crunchy dried fruits for as long as possible, you should store them in a cool and dry place. You should take special care to keep the fruits well sealed so that they do not lose their incomparable crunch.
The puffed physals are significantly crunchier than conventional dried fruits. Unlike normal dried fruits, the apple pieces are not sun-dried, but gently heated by an innovative vacuum drying process. This ensures that the water contained in the fruit evaporates in a very short time at low temperature. This gives the dried fruit its unique crunchy consistency.
For our puffed physalis we use nothing but the pure fruit. Since they contain no additives, the dried fruits are 100% vegan.
If you store the dried fruits in a cool and dry place, they will keep for at least 12 months. To ensure that the fruit pieces remain crisp and do not lose their flavor, it is important to store them in an airtight container. It is best to put the dried apples in a storage jar. That way you can enjoy the crunchy snacks for a long time.
Our puffed physalis is free from any additives such as refined sugar, sulfur and colorants and preservatives. Due to their natural fruit sweetness, they taste just wonderfully aromatic sweet even without added sugar.

Being grumpy isn't fun

Unfortunately, the physalis are incredibly sour—I’ve never experienced that with fresh ones. I should mention that when we buy them, they ripen a bit more over the next few days. And the ones from the garden are simply delicious. That was the reason I decided to try them in the first place. Unfortunately, they’re out of the question as a healthy snack because they just don’t get eaten—not at all—since the kids find them way too sour. For that, €26 is too much for me, and then to end up throwing them away. Sometimes I eat them, but the kids’ half-eaten snack leftovers just aren’t the best either.

It's got something. It's super crunchy, but unfortunately the taste is a bit hit and miss, just like the physalis in the store. Sometimes there's a really delicious one, but then again there are some where I can't clearly define the taste.
